Proud Mother of 100 and Job Hunting, oh my!

So, I don't know anything about CSS, so I haven't been able to make my own journal skin, but this one is really cute. I hope to learn some CSS when I have some time.

Have been applying to all sort of jobs and such. Even had an interview today for a junior scientist position. Hurray, I guess! They were nice, but there were three people in the interview and even a guy listening via phone on the desk, so it was a little intimidating. I was like, "I've never been in a conference with a phone before," lol.

Anyways, yeah, just applying to everything from retail to food prep to grocery stores to entomology lab work. Speaking of which, I had to get a California Food Handler's Certificate if I wanted to get any food-related job. Apparently, that was a law the Governator passed last year to scrounge up an extra $15 bucks from each new barista, cook, waiter, busser and such. New people like meeee.

SOO, now I am certified to serve you guys food that I prepare, technically! Don't worry, in that doofy 1.5 hour online course that my friend and I laughed through while making MORE PANCAKES, I learned how to... WASH MY HANDS, put food in the FRIDGE, look for RAT DROPPINGS, not SNEEZE on my food, and to CLEAN MY UTENSILS. Whooo. I think the 70% requirement to pass the exam is ridiculous with how short and comically obvious it is. I'd like people preparing my food to at least get a B...?

Well, in the past week or two, our pet giant wolf spider laid a big white egg sac! Her abdomen is so much smaller now! I wonder when we'll get the little hatchlings and how many there will be. Maybe a hundred? We need to modify the tank top so that they can't escape once they emerge. 'Cause that's kinda gross. Little spiders all over...

I'm more excited though about our pet bark scorpion! She also gave birth around the same time! There must be at least a dozen little scorpion-lings. They used to be sitting all cute on her back, but now they've gotten old enough to venture on their own. Awww.
