Lackadaisy Temperance Card

I had been seeing a lot of cool occult-looking card deviations of various popular characters and such, so I wanted to try my hand at one. Apparently, my hand wasn't so good at making one at all, but it was a first try.

I thought Temperance was a suitable tarot card theme for the Lackadaisy world. I tried to choose the one of most innocent characters I could think of for the image, though there aren't many to be had in the story, within all the madness in drink, love, money and violence. So here is Ivy as the radiant angel of temperance, mixing the wine with a pitcher of water, which symbolizes trying to stay within moderation in one's life.

I wanted the image to have the effect of looking like old parchment or something, but that idea super failed, so I tried to save it somewhat by giving it a stony tablet look instead. It still looks like crap, but it was the best I could salvage. (Look, you can actually still see the failed parallel ridges of the parchment-like attempt here and there.)
